McKinney Repertory Theatre

A Classic Whodunnit! Set in a mountain cabin, Daniel Corban’s wife is missing on their honeymoon. A woman shows up who claims to be his wife, but he has no idea who she is. Why does everyone in town think she is Mrs. Corban? Enter a detective who tries to solve the mystery, and mayhem ensues. Laughs, suspense, and a twist at the end you won’t expect.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the 7pm audition start time, to allow time for paperwork.
  • For more information, or for those who wish to submit a video audition (in lieu of an in-person audition), please email auditionsmrt@gmail.com.
  • Video submissions should consist of a two minute melodramatic or comedic monologue. (Note: you may also be asked to record a callback side.)
  • All video auditions must be received by: Monday, March 11th, 2024 at 5:00 pm.
  • Please do not audition if you have a conflict with tech week or performance dates.

Rehearsals

  • First Rehearsal/Read Through: March 18
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 6:30pm - 9:30pm, March 18-April 25.
  • There may be occasional Sunday afternoon rehearsals
  • LOAD IN: Minimal Set with Furniture and set-pieces load in to MPAC April 28
  • SET BUILD: April 28 from 1pm-7pm/First Tech
  • TECH WK REHEARSALS: April 29, 30 and May 1 from 7pm-10:30pm
  • DRESS REHEARSAL: May 2 from 6:30pm-10:30pm
  • PICK UP REHEARSAL: May 9 from 6:30pm-10:30pm

Note: All actors will be asked to help participate in the setup/strike of the set during the run of the show.

Available Roles

All characters are open for auditions.

We are committed to diverse casting and all roles are open to characters of all backgrounds. All roles are volunteer only and are not paid.

  • Daniel Corban: Male Lead 30-55. Ad agency executive. Smart/dresses well and under great stress.

  • Inspector Levine: Male or Female Lead 40-65. Well-worn NY detective with a sense of humor. Street smart.

  • Elizabeth Corban: Female Lead 30-55. Wife of Daniel Corban. Chic, smart, quick witted and a bit of a mystery.

  • Father Kelleher: Male Medium Role: 30-60. A gentle priest but something is off. Goes from gentle to menacing.

  • Sid/Sidney: Male or Female Medium Role: 45-75. Jewish deli owner with a quick wit, who makes the best sandwiches in the world.

  • Mrs. Parker: Female Smaller Role: 25-45. Very pretty, not very bright.

  • Everett Parker: Male Smaller Role 45-75. Owner of Ad Agency, not exactly faithful.
